The Summerall Guards

The Anthony D. Griffin Sword was named for Cadet Major Anthony D. Griffin, the 1974 Summerall Guard Commander. The 1974 Summerall Guards established the Griffin Sword as an award in 1984. The sword has been handed down from Commander to Commander every year since 1984. The blade is engraved with "Anthony D. Griffin" and the sheath is engraved with "Summerall Guard Commander 1974".
